Welcome to the Fort Collins

Winter Farmers Market

*Now expanding to six summer dates*

For 19 seasons, the Fort Collins Winter Farmers Market has been Northern Colorado’s home for fresh, local food and handmade goods throughout the colder months. What began as a seasonal gathering has grown into a true community hub; a place where families, neighbors, and friends come together to shop, connect, and support the growers and makers who reflect our region and the people's passions. Our indoor home at Foothills Mall has made it easy to enjoy local flavors and small‑business creativity all winter long, and that remains the heart of who we are.

This year after hearing a clear need and want from both shoppers and vendors, we’re taking a meaningful step forward. We are excited to announce beginning May 9, we’re adding six Indoor Summer Markets - the first summer extension in our long history - allowing our community to stay connected with local producers beyond the winter season. These additional dates don’t replace the Winter Market; they simply expand what we already do well, giving Northern Colorado more opportunities to shop local all while inside a comfortable, climate‑controlled space. Foothills offers a cool break from the heat, live music, and the same welcoming atmosphere our winter shoppers have grown to know and love.

By adding these six summer dates, we’re strengthening the year‑round connection between our community and the people who grow, bake, craft, and create here. It’s an evolution rooted in the same mission that has guided us since the beginning, supporting NoCo producers and making it easy for our community to choose local, no matter the season.

Meet Our Vendors

*Currently accepting for Summer*

Our vendors are the foundation of the Market. They include farmers, bakers, makers, and entrepreneurs who bring passion and dedication to every market day. Shopping with them means more than purchasing high-quality products—it directly supports the local economy and keeps small businesses strong.

What You’ll Find

Fresh Seasonal Produce - Seasonal vegetables, hardy greens, mushrooms, fruits, and microgreens grown in Colorado.

Handcrafted and Artisan Goods - Unique, handmade products from local artists and craftspeople, including jewelry, textiles, home décor, and candles.

Specialty Foods - Small-batch jams, baked breads, locally roasted coffee, and artisanal cheeses.

Northern Colorado Meat, Eggs, & Dairy - Farm-fresh eggs, milk, and ethically raised meats including beef, pork, and chicken from nearby farms.

Food Access & Equity

We are committed to making fresh, local food accessible to everyone in our community. Our Farmers Markets proudly accept SNAP/EBT benefits and participates in the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program, provided by Nourish Colorado. DUFB allows SNAP users to double their buying power for fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring families can bring home more of the best local food while directly supporting our farmers.

Supporting Our Community

Every visit to the Fort Collins Farmers Markets supports farmers, food producers, and artisans through the more challenging winter season. Each purchase helps keep dollars in the local economy, strengthens Northern Colorado’s food system, and connects shoppers directly with the people who grow and create their food.

The Market is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and features live music and free children’s activities, making it a welcoming Saturday tradition from November through April.

Acknowledging Our Sponsors

Our Farmers Markets are possible thanks to the support of our sponsors. Their partnership helps us provide a welcoming, accessible space for vendors and shoppers alike. Businesses interested in reaching an engaged, community-focused audience are invited to learn more about sponsorship opportunities here.

Musicians and Performers

Live music is a core part of our indoor Farmers Market experience. Each Saturday, talented local musicians help create the lively, welcoming atmosphere our shoppers look forward to.

Why We Added the Summer Markets

For nearly twenty years, the Fort Collins Winter Farmers Market has been a steady gathering place for local food, makers, and community. As we look ahead to becoming Colorado’s first year‑round indoor market, adding a summer season is a natural next step. This expansion isn’t just about growing our calendar, it’s about strengthening the connections, opportunities, and local food systems that have shaped the Market since the beginning.

1. The community asked for it

Shoppers and vendors had been asking for more chances to connect outside the winter season. The Summer Markets grew directly out of that request, giving everyone a way to stay connected to local food and makers all year.

2. To support newer and emerging vendors

Many small producers and makers struggle to access traditional regional markets. The Summer Markets create more openings for newer vendors to get visibility, build a customer base, and grow at a pace that fits them.

3. To create continuity between seasons

The Winter Market has a strong following, and adding a summer season keeps that momentum going instead of pausing for half the year. It supports vendors, keeps shoppers engaged, and strengthens the Market’s year‑round presence.

4. To offer a comfortable indoor option during the hottest months

The Summer Markets are intentionally held indoors, giving shoppers a cool, comfortable place to buy fresh food and local goods during peak heat — something unique in Colorado.

5. To strengthen Northern Colorado’s local food system

By adding six Summer Markets from May through October, the Market supports farmers, ranchers, and food producers during their busiest growing and harvesting months, helping stabilize and expand the local food economy.

6. To build toward becoming Colorado’s first year‑round indoor market

The Summer Markets are a key step in the long‑term vision: transforming the Fort Collins Winter Farmers Market into a fully year‑round indoor market.
