national pet day parade and costume contest

We get to meet many of your pets at the Market and now it's time to show them off in style with an indoor/outdoor parade and costume contest that comes with some great prizes!

And we are raising money for the Larimer County Humane Society

100% of your registration fee goes towards this organization!

PRIZES AND THEMES

Costume Contest Categories:

  • Best in Parade (Overall Best Costume) — Most impressive and well-crafted costume

  • Funniest Costume — Most humorous and creative outfit

  • Most Original/Unique — Concept no one else thought of

  • Most Creative Matching — Matching costumes with owner, siblings, or friends

 

Prize Package Per Winner (4 winners total):

  • $75 Foothills gift card

  • $50 Winter Farmers Market gift card

  • Gift baskets from Wagz and market vendors.

  • Pre-registration fee: $10 per entry (via Venmo-@focowfm, put your name and “WFM Pet Parade” in the description or Cash - pay at the info booth)

  • Day-of registration fee: $15 per entry (via Venmo-@focowfm, put your name and “WFM Pet Parade” in the description or Cash)

  • All proceeds donated directly to the Larimer County Humane Society

  • Every registrant receives $10 in Winter Market Bucks.

  • Event schedule, parade route and other logistics information will be sent after registration is paid.

details & logistics

In-person registration and on-site check in begins at 10:30am at the east entrance near Victoria's Secret. 

Collect your $10 in Market Bucks at that time and shop early or after the parade. 

We will gather on the East Lawn at 11:15am to begin the parade and then each pet and handler will cross the stage in front of our esteemed judges. 

Winners will be announced at 12:15pm

All participants will need a signed waiver that can be found here or we will have on-site.

 

For participants under 16, please have a parent or guardian with you. For participants who are 16 or older, but not a legal adult yet, please have a parent or guardian complete the waiver (does not need to be on-site for the event).
